Miscarriage
‘I held you, for every second of your life. But then the forest burned before me, the field turned to ash, and I stood there hopeless as I watched it consume you. A life need not be long lived for it to have made an impression upon the world. Now I sit here in silence and watch, in hopes that one day new life will grow again…’
I ended up making this piece as a way to express how I felt as I went through a miscarriage. After everything that had happened, I only had a fuzy ultrasound to record it all, so I wanted something more solid to remember this by.
I wrote all about it on my instagram (@ninamarievisuals) and facebook if you want to read it. Thankfully I received a lot of warm support from friends and family in response.
